Press & studio visits
How to write to us, and how to visit the room.
HD Kepler is a one-curator studio with two part-time editors, which means our correspondence is slower than most. We read every letter we receive and reply to almost all of them, usually within ten to fourteen working days. Please be patient with us; we are usually either installing, on a hillside somewhere, or quietly reading at the desk.
How to write to us
The fastest route is by email. We use two addresses, and we ask readers to pick the one that fits.
- For visits, submissions, and general enquiries — studio@hdkepler.net. This goes to Becky and the studio managers. We read it daily and reply weekly.
- For press, image requests, and interview enquiries — press@hdkepler.net. This is monitored by our editorial assistant and answered within ten working days. Please include the publication, the deadline, and a one-paragraph brief.
Visiting the studio in Athens
The studio is in Pangrati, five minutes on foot from the National Gallery, and we receive visitors strictly by appointment between October and June. Visits usually run for an hour, on Thursday or Friday afternoons, and include a slow walk through the current exhibition and a glass of mountain tea in the courtyard.
We are quietly closed in July, August, and most of September, when the studio is on the islands or in the groves. If you are in Athens during those months and would like to be notified when we reopen, write to studio@hdkepler.net and we will add you to the autumn opening letter.
What we do not respond to
We do not reply to art-fair invitations, sponsored content offers, generic gallery rep enquiries, or unsolicited PR pitches. If you are not sure whether your enquiry falls into one of those categories, write anyway — we would rather receive a sincere note we have to decline than miss a good one.
